Must ask questions when you are interviewing for nanny jobs
Once you have decided to get a child minder the next step is to start the interviewing process. The basic rule is that you can never ask too many questions when it comes to someone who will be looking after your child but it is equally important to keep the questions in perspective. Be prepared to ask them personal questions about their previous work history and find out about their personal interests. Always make sure that references are supplied and fully checked and get a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB); a police check that will highlight any criminal convictions.

Leaving your kid at home with a baby sitter
The easiest way to do this is to use an agency as they will do the vetting for you and all that you will have to do is interview for the nanny jobs and get to know them to make sure that their personality will fit as best as possible into your home. Don’t be afraid to ask to meet with your potential help for a second or even third time before making a decision and it is often advisable to get them to meet with the child to see how well they gel. Also it is important in the early stages to be honest about how many hours you will expect them to work and the types of jobs they are expected to do as it can vary from family to family on what will be expected of them, and be upfront about the salary and what will be paid for over time.
